Fertility

My own experience with fertility issues led me to become specialty board certified in Oriental reproductive medicine and complete a fellowship in Nanjing with integrative fertility doctors using acupuncture and herbal medicine. I bring compassion and empathy to my treatments.

Traditional Chinese Medicine may be used either in conjunction with Western infertility treatment or as an alternative treatment to help regulate and enhance fertility. Both treatment strategies have research to support effectiveness.

I incorporate evidence based and time tested traditional treatments which may include herbal medicine, acupuncture with electric stim, laser/light therapy and functional nutrition.

Problems treated include:

Unexplained infertility, autoimmune infertility, PCOS, recurrent pregnancy loss, amenorrhea, endometriosis, male factor (low count and poor quality), poor response to IVF, poor egg quality, side effect of fertility medications.

Acupuncture Fertility Research:

Laser Fertility Research:

“The use of 830 nm LLLT [low level laser therapy]… resulted in successful induction of pregnancy in just over 21% of severely infertile females, with a substantial number of these achieving live births.” Laser Therapy 2012
